Booking Conditions
Booking Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before making your reservation, as they form the basis of your contract with us. Our obligations and your commitments are detailed below. If you have any questions regarding these terms and conditions, please feel free to contact us. Your contract is with GB Golf (DMC) Ltd trading as GB Golf Trip, a private limited company (SC746146) registered under Scottish law, acting as an agent for all suppliers.
1. BOOKING AND CONFIRMATION
A contract will be established between you and GB Golf (DMC) Ltd as soon as we have received the client’s deposit or written confirmation from the travel agency/tour operator. Your confirmation invoice details all elements of your booking. It is your responsibility to check its content carefully, as any changes made after your booking will be considered an amendment or cancellation and may therefore incur charges. If you made a special request and we did not confirm before booking whether it could be fulfilled, we cannot guarantee it will be met.
2. PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE
The balance of your stay must be paid at least four weeks before the scheduled arrival date or as detailed in the provided quotation.
3. PRICE GUARANTEE
The cost of the services booked with our company will not be subject to additional charges once our confirmation invoice has been issued.
4. CHANGES MADE BY CLIENTS
If you wish to make changes after receiving the confirmation, you must inform us as soon as possible in writing. Amendment or cancellation fees are calculated from the date we receive your request or notification. We will do our best to accommodate your changes, but we cannot guarantee they can be made. A flat fee of €25 per change will apply to each modification after confirmation.
5. CHANGES MADE BY OUR COMPANY
If we make a change to your booking arrangements, we will inform you as soon as possible. If it is a major change—such as a change of date or destination—you may request a refund of all monies paid. If it is a minor change—such as a change in tee time or playing order—you will not be entitled to a refund or compensation. No refund will be due in cases of force majeure.
“Force majeure” includes, but is not limited to: war or threat of war, riot or civil unrest, industrial dispute or threat thereof, natural or nuclear disaster, adverse weather conditions, fire or flooding, terrorist activity or threat of terrorism, closure of ports, airports or car rental depots, unexpected local construction or roadworks, actions by national or local governments, or any similar circumstances beyond our control.
6. CANCELLATION BY CLIENTS
You, or any member of your group, may cancel your holiday at any time, provided the cancellation is made by the person who made the booking and is communicated to us in writing. As cancellation involves costs, we will always retain the deposit and apply the cancellation fees listed below.
Please note: a minimum fee of €25 per person will apply to all refund requests, corresponding to administrative charges.
More than 28 days before arrival (or before balance due date): deposit lost
Between 28 days (or balance due date) and 15 days: loss of 75% of the total cost
Less than 14 days: loss of 100% of the total cost
7. CANCELLATION BY OUR COMPANY
We reserve the right to cancel your stay at any time. However, we will never cancel less than 4 weeks before the departure date, except in cases of force majeure or failure to pay the final balance.
8. INSURANCE
You must obtain appropriate travel insurance before your trip. It is your responsibility to ensure that your insurance policy meets your needs, including cancellation cover if you must cancel your stay, as well as overseas assistance in case of accident or illness.
9. PASSPORTS, VISAS AND HEALTH REQUIREMENTS
Currently, French citizens require a valid passport or national identity card to enter the United Kingdom or the Republic of Ireland. A visa is not required to travel to the UK or Ireland. If you do not have valid documents, you will not be able to travel.
10. ENGLISH LAW AND JURISDICTION
The contract between us and any matters arising from it will be governed by English law and subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
11. COMPLAINTS
In the unlikely event that you encounter a problem, you must immediately inform our local representative or our office so the issue can be resolved as quickly as possible.
12. GENERAL
Bookings are subject to the terms and conditions of the suppliers for whom GB Golf Trip acts as an agent.
